Chapter 4

Content Optimization for AI-Generated Blogs

AI gives you a strong first draft. Optimization turns it into content that ranks and engages readers.

Improve readability

Keep sentences short (under 20 words on average). Use simple language — a 5th-7th grade reading level converts best. Break up long paragraphs into 2-3 sentences each. Use bullet points and numbered lists to make content scannable.

Add a compelling introduction

Your first paragraph determines whether someone stays or bounces. Start with the problem or question the reader has, then promise a solution. Include your primary keyword in the first paragraph for SEO.

Use images strategically

Add a featured image and at least 1-2 images within the content. Use descriptive alt text that includes your keyword naturally. Images break up text walls and improve engagement metrics.

Write for featured snippets

Structure content to answer questions directly. Use an H2 as a question, then answer it concisely in the first paragraph below. Google often pulls these into featured snippets (position zero).

Add a strong conclusion

Summarize key takeaways, restate the value, and include a clear call-to-action. Don't just trail off — give readers a next step. This also signals to Google that your content is complete and thorough.
