Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Quillly (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you sign up via Google OAuth.
  • Content: Blog posts, topics, keywords, and other content you create using the Service.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely by our payment provider.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Service.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process transactions and manage your subscription
  • Generate AI content based on your inputs
  • Send you updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, AI providers).
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and secure data storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyze usage, and remember your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google OAuth, AI providers). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

10. Connected AI Assistants (MCP)

Quillly offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that lets AI assistants you authorize (such as Claude) act on your behalf within Quillly. When you connect an assistant:

  • What it can access: your websites and their settings, your blog posts and drafts, SEO scores and suggestions, and analytics — and, only if you have connected them, your Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster performance data.
  • Authorization: access is granted via OAuth 2.0 (or a scoped API key) that you can revoke at any time from your Quillly dashboard. The assistant never receives your password, and your search-engine OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and are never shared with the assistant.
  • How it's used: tool calls from the assistant are used solely to perform the action you requested (for example, create or publish a blog) and to enforce plan limits. We do not sell this data, and we do not use the content of your tool calls to train third-party models.
  • Retention: content created through the connector is retained like any other account content and deleted on request; connector usage logs follow our standard retention described above.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
