Before you install.
What counts as an event?
A pageview is one event. So is a scroll, a click on something you have marked as a goal, and any custom event you send yourself. The tally covers every site you have connected, together, and resets at the start of each billing period — 10k of them on the entry tier.
What happens when I hit the limit?
Collection pauses and your site carries on exactly as before — nothing breaks, no page slows down, and you are never billed for an overage you did not choose. We simply stop storing new events until the period rolls over or you move up a tier, and moving up starts collection again straight away.
Do pages Quillly hosts count towards the events?
No — the meter only ever sees pages you host yourself. It is worth doing that arithmetic before comparing tiers: if your blog lives on our infrastructure and your app does not, the allowance you are buying covers the app alone, and the blog can go as viral as it likes for nothing.
Does it set a cookie?
Your choice, and both scripts come out of the same dashboard. The default sets a first-party cookie because it tells returning visitors apart accurately — the difference between “400 people came back” and “400 sessions started”. The cookieless variant stores nothing at all on the visitor’s device and is one attribute away if your policy needs it.
How does the price compare?
It is metered on events, not on seats, sites or users: 10k events for $5 a month at the entry tier and 2M for $44 at the top, with every tier covering as many websites as you want to connect. Paying yearly is 2 months free. And because pages we host for you never count, the allowance goes further here than the same number does elsewhere.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Every figure the dashboard draws is readable through the MCP tools, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can pull your traffic, sources, goals and journeys straight into whatever you are writing — no scraping, no screenshots. The keyword explorer exports CSV directly. There is no one-click archive of the whole account yet.
Can I import my Google Analytics history?
Not yet. Run both tags side by side for as long as you like — the script is independent of GA and neither one interferes with the other — and connect Search Console so the search side of your history is there from day one.
Do I need the rest of Quillly?
No. The Analytics plan is analytics and the websites it belongs to. Content publishing, the SEO tools, the agent and directory listings are separate lines you can add later, and the dashboard simply does not show menus you have not bought.
